Dinner Party

I just had a lovely little dinner party at my house, the first of many to come, I hope!  I invited my friend O (from France) and my housemate Laura joined us.  I made a proper American meal.  Laura was right impressed that it was all from scratch!  I made chili and cornbread, with cherry cobbler for dessert.  The chili....well, let's just say there was too much cayenne pepper in it, but O, who loves vindaloo curry, enjoyed it anyway!

O brought an amazing AMAZING dessert as a gift.  She says it's a good quality, like you would get in Paris!  Let me tell you, it tastes as good as it looks!

It's really such an answer to prayer to be able to have friends over now!  I'm having another three friends over tomorrow night as well.  Not sure what I'm making yet though!  I'm so thankful each day for the house that God has provided and for the friend that Laura is becoming.
