On Saturday, three friends and I went out to TGIFriday's to celebrate American Independence. It seemed so fitting to celebrate our independence in the country we fought for our independence :) We chose an American restaurant and enjoyed ourselves for the evening. I couldn't resist sharing a dessert with one of the girls. It was a brownie supreme, made to be shared. It was so good! However, our waiter only brought one spoon, so I tucked in with my fork and steak knife.
Tonight, my housemates and I are having an American meal in honor of the 4th of July. I just made cornbread, will make the chili tonight, and we're also having sweetcorn! It may be incredibly expensive, but to me, sweetcorn makes the meal a 4th of July meal. I'll try to post some pictures for you all later, but in the meantime, enjoy your holiday.
